Chain Of Responsibility (COR) Compliance

Phoenix Logistics Management Pty Ltd is committed to ensuring that all contracted and sub contracted services engaed on behalf of or for Phoenix Logistics Managmenent Pty Ltd are compliant and maintain compliance with all relevant national, international and state laws, regulations and or other requirements.

This compliance includes the updated Chain of Responsibility COR obligations under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HNVL) administered by the National Heavy Vehicle regulatior (NHVR) and other applicable road authorities. These Primary Laws were designed to ensure that every party in the Heavy Vehcile National Supply Chain has a duty to ensure the safety of their transport activities, and assured awareness of their obligation to eliminate or mitigate potential harm or loss (risk) by doing all that is reasonably practical to ensure safety.

It is important that all parties in the supply chain are aware of the legislative changes if and when they occur and their individual obligations under the Chain of Responsibility (COR) act, as either a shipper, packer, consignor, third party consignor and or scheduler and that they and we take all reasonable and practical steps to ensure safety and compliance in all transport activities.

Consigning and Shipping Dangerous Goods

The sender (consignor) is required to understand their obligations when handling and shipping dangerous goods and that they are aware and compliant of the legislative requirements and changes, as and if they occur along with their individual obligations.

The Relevant Commonwealth Act, Regulations and Code, which govern the road Transport of dangerous goods in Australia are.

– Dangerous Goods Act
– Dangerous Goods Regulation
– Australian Dangerous Goods Code (A.D.G. Code)

The A.D.G Code is nationally recognised and it is the code for which Dangerous Goods is legislatively required to be transported by Road and Rail.

Definitions.
Consignor – A person who engages a contractor to transport goods.
Dangerous Goods – Items or Goods that are identified as Dangerous Goods and or chemicals or substances that have the potential to cause injury or death or damage to persons, property or the environment.

There are some dangerous goods that cannot be transported via Air Freight.
